This was okay at first, but now it’s just ridiculous and seriously uncreative?! With so many characters on the show, do we really need the same punching bag all over again? It’s like all the other characters are porcelain dolls and perfect. I started watching this show and I stayed around because each character has his flaws, his ups and downs. It felt real. And you know? This doesn’t feel real anymore. Anyone in real life that takes this kind of beating, doesn’t want to even get up in the morning. If you want to beat Derek, then you better give me some realistic reaction right after. The only time that happened was right after Boyd’s death and he decided to stay away for a few days (funny note: Stiles was the one who actually went to look for him - the only one!)

I don’t know the context of this scene. I keep repeating this to myself so that I can remain calm, but it does seem really black and white. I read a text about what Teen Wolf would be if the Hale fire had never happened. And he’s some food for thought. We don’t know if Erica and Boyd would still be alive, but Erica would still have her seizures, her unrequited love for Stiles and she would still be extremely unhappy and alone. Boyd would still be having lunch alone, a shadow that no one notices, he would still be feeding in guilt for his sister on that ice ring. Isaac, and gosh this one is the worse, he would still be living with a violent parent and god knows if he would even survive until his own father killed him. All of them had serious social problems with no one to talk about their feelings, no one to tell them it’s okay, no one to trust, no one to fight for them or look for them, no one to give them a new home, no one to sacrifice their life for them, no one to laugh with, no one to give them something without anything in return, fucking no one.

Derek just didn’t give them the bite. He brought these kids together. Boyd and Erica found comfort in each other. Isaac was finally not living a nightmare. They met Scott, Stiles, Lydia and Allison. Thanks to that, Isaac has now two good parent figures in his life, he might survive his teenage years by experiencing some actual parenting love. And when the man, who warned about the danger and gave you a whole new life, is watching his only sister die, you dare to ask him “Why did you do this to us?” I’m sorry, but I’m so sick of this. Isaac is not the best character known for wise words, he actually has a big mouth, but STILL, punching Derek has been going on since 3x01. Are you telling me there’s a main character called Scott McCall? Are you telling me there’s an alpha pack in town? Are you telling me there’s a dark druid doing sacrifices?! I’m sorry, but I wasn’t paying attention to any of that when on every single episode it’s all Derek’s fault.

•3x01: Alpha pack in town, they have Erica and Boyd. They took Isaac. It’s Derek’s fault, it’s my problem, he said.
•3x02: Allison telling him “I’m not the one turning teenagers into killers," which honestly I’ve never seen any of Derek’s betas kill someone. Or are we counting the deaths caused by the Kanima too? Is that Derek’s fault too? Oh wait, of course it is. Because he was the one stalking Jackson to give him the bite. I must have missed that episode. Also, I know what I’m risking, my life for theirs.
•3x03: Cora and Boyd are killing innocent people? Yes, it’s Derek’s fault they were trapped in a vault for three months. Actually, if we go back any further, it’s also Derek’s fault that Cora was separated from her family, because it was him who set them all on fire. Oh wait. So, let’s make him the punching bag (quite literally) on this episode. By this episode, this scene was so powerful and so redemption alike (with all the light and his position at the end) that I innocently thought this would be it. But damn I was so wrong.
•3x04: Not only the alpha pack killed Erica, now they want Derek to kill the rest of them. In fact, he will want to. It’s also his fault that Deucalion is a fanatic and wants him to join his pack by spilling more and more blood, his pack’s blood. Meanwhile, Boyd’s only friend is dead and it’s totally Derek’s fault, right? Riiiight?!
•3x05: While Scott wants to talk peace with Deucalion, because yes that would have worked, totally, Derek wants to kill Deucalion. It’s his fault that every single alpha decided to show up. In fact, it’s his fault that he fell and almost die. It’s probably because of those shoes he bought. He must have thought to himself “I’m gonna buy new shoes" but then he forgot they’re too slippery at first and fell. Naturally, Derek can’t have nice shoes. He can’t have nice things.
•3x06: AHAH everyone tries to kill themselves. Scott tries to kill himself because Derek is dead. But wait, at the same time Derek is having sex with the dark druid who has a connection with him because of a stupid tree. It’s also Derek’s fault that his manhood again picked a psycho to sleep with, a psycho that tells him to not warn his pack that he’s alive, a psycho that was at the same time trying to kill the rest of his pack.
•3x07: Boyd died because Kali used Derek as a weapon. But still, he’s the weapon, it’s obviously his fault //////////sarcasm
•3x08: Even on flashbacks, everything is Derek’s fault. Except psycho crazy Gerard, at least that… Wait for Season 4 where we found out that Gerard was kicked on his balls by Derek when he was four and that’s why he got crazy. Just. wait. for. it.
•3x09: *SNORTS* DEREK’S GIRL IS THE ONE KILLING PEOPLE. It’s not Derek’s fault? Wait until the next episode to actually find out that it is indeed his fault.
•3x10: Remember Paige? The actual Derek’s one true love? She was a virgin and of all the places Derek could choose, yes of course it was his choice, he killed her for mercy on that fucking tree (I hate that tree?). Paige’s blood gave power to that tree, a glow or something that I honestly don’t care about, and that was able to save Jennifer, Julia, Darach, psycho druid, whatever you want to call her. So, obviously, everything about the Darach is Derek’s fault.
•3x11: Pure speculation, but since it’s all Derek’s fault, let’s take his alpha status. Let’s end with the Hale pack.
Derek’s guilt seems to be the main focus this season. All the other things happening this season are starting to feel like side stories to me, because this one is present on EVERY SINGLE EPISODE.

There’s nothing we can do now, but for the love of god don’t keep using the same character over and over again as a punching bag. We’re going to have Derek’s birthday on the next part, right? CAN WE GIVE HIM A CAKE? CAN WE GIVE HIM A PARTY THAT DOESN’T END IN DISASTER?! Can we please give him something good?
