In the wake of the alien invasion of Manhattan, several important Chitauri objects were lost in the cleanup and confusion that followed; after months of tracking down and re-acquiring them all, S.H.I.E.L.D. discoveries one last elusive item at the black markets of Taipei. Due to political intricacies, they are forced to send their two top agents undercover in the city to hunt down said item, and the people trying to sell it. Natasha Romanoff, better known as Black Widow (actually so well-known now that she’s forced the disguise her equally famous red hair), and Clint Barton, the marksman known as Hawkeye, who has very recently been re-approved for active fieldwork.
The mission quickly goes sideways, as the object of their search may not be all that it seems, and the two super-spies have enough to deal with besides from what might be another bout of intergalactic magic…
